The Shenandoah Chapter of the Virginia Master Naturalists enjoy the rolling hills in-between the northern Shenandoah Valley and the Blue Ridge Mountains as their classroom. Since 2007, the Chapter has comprised of the counties of Frederick, Clark, Shenandoah, Warren, and Page in Virginia and includes members from Jefferson County, West Virginia. _ The annual basic course is usually conducted on the beautiful grounds of Blandy Experimental Farm and State Arboretum in Boyce, VA. Our chapter's ongoing projects include the management of the Bluebird Trail and the adoption of a 75-acre habitat management zone both at Sky Meadows State Park.
As our regional population quickly grows, the Shenandoah Chapter hopes to form a highly-trained and dedicated group of volunteers passionate about nature and its healthy management. |
